Greece

Greece is a country that captures the hearts of most who visit due to its scenic beauty and unique charm, ensuring its continued popularity as a holiday destination. Each of the islands has it’s own identity and offers something unique to it’s visitors. The larger islands such as Rhodes and Crete are very diverse and have a broad appeal whilst smaller islands like Skiathos are stunningly beautiful with amazing beaches. Scenic beauty, character and charm are not all this amazing country has to offer. As the heart of the ancient civilisation, a rich tapestry of ancient history unfolds entwined with mythology, drama and tragedy.

Aghios Nikolaos

This picturesque and busy fishing town is a haven for anyone seeking a lively, fun filled holiday. Aghios Nikolaos, known locally as 'Ag. Nik' is situated just ten kilometres from Elounda and set on the lovely Gulf of Mirabello. The attractive harbour lined with open air cafes and tavernas is the focal point of this resort and buzzing with activity at night. The beautiful lake is a very deep blue, almost black in some lights, (bottomless, so legend has it) and there are several small sandy beaches where water sports are widely available. Night owls will be right at home here with an array of nightlife with numerous bars and discos for all tastes and those who appreciate good food will also be impressed with the excellent variety of restaurants and tavernas around the harbour. This is truly one of the most picturesque resorts yet also offering an amazing choice of things to do and see and despite the commercialised aspect, still manages to capture the essence of Crete. This resort suits those looking for good nightlife in picturesque surroundings.

Elounda

Just 10km north of Aghios Nikolaos lies the lovely resort of Elounda. This picturesque and relaxed resort has always been a favourite of ours with its attractive coastline, beautiful harbour area with its variety of restaurants and spectacular views of Spinalonga Island. Elounda was made famous as the setting of the film ’Who Pays the Ferryman' and although the resort has retained all of its original Cretan charm and remains a tranquil spot in both early and late season, in the height of the summer it does become quite lively. The sandy beach offers a good choice of watersports, which are extremely popular in the height of summer. Elounda appeals

mainly to families and couples who wish to relax amongst beautiful scenery but still have a good choice of amenities in the resort as well as to the discerning traveller seeking deluxe accommodation.

Hersonissos

Ranked as one of Crete's liveliest resorts, the cosmopolitan town of Hersonissos is well known for its scores of cafes, restaurants, bars, disco bars and English style pubs lining the sea front. Days can be spent relaxing on the sandy/shingle beach, where water sports are available, or visiting the old villages with their tranquil settings, charming tavernas and pretty houses. Hersonissos caters for all, although the young and lively are attracted in high season due to it having lots of activities and lively nightlife. There are plenty of dive sites so this area is also good for divers.

Malia

Malia is best known for being a fun loving and extremely lively resort and very popular with the young crowd. It has a superb sandy beach, one of the best on the island, stretching for 2km along the shoreline. Divided into two distinctly contrasting parts, the old village with its lovely tavernas and typical old village style houses provides a traditional and relaxed atmosphere. The newer part of the town has developed along the road leading down to the beach, with numerous cafes, lively bars, discos, shops and tavernas lining the road. This resort really comes alive at night and is ideal for the young and lively. Young people flock here for the great beaches and hectic nightlife.

Sissi

Sissi is a small beautifully picturesque and relaxed resort and an excellent choice for a slow relaxing holiday. It has a pretty harbour, a sand/shingle beach and narrow streets filled with small shops and a surprisingly good choice of restaurants and tavernas. Despite becoming more popular over the years, Sissi still remains relatively unspoilt and uncommercialised and has the added bonus of being close to the buzzing resort of Malia and less than 30 minutes from cosmopolitan Aghios Nikolaos for those who feel the need for a change of pace. Sissi appeals to couples and families seeking relaxation in tranquil surroundings.
